Welcome to my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory site.  This movie is very different from most.  It has outrageous settings, and bizarre characters that differ greatly from each other.

The movie was directed by Tim Burton and released to theaters On July 15th, 2005.  The story is originally by Roald Dahl, about a curious chocolatier Willy Wonka, and a young boy, Charlie Bucket, who is good-hearted and lives in the shadow of the factory.

Plot:

Charlie Bucket lives in a small timeworn shack with his parents and both pairs of grandparents.  He dreams of what it would be like to go in the chocolate factory.  When it was near his birthday flyers were sent out that five lucky children who found a golden ticket in his candy bars would be allowed a day in the factory.  The one bar that Charlie gets a year was not a winner.  He found money on the street later and used it to buy a candy bar and found the last golden ticket.  Going through a day of strange events in the factory Charlie wins the grand prize, to be the heir to Willy Wonkas chocolate factory.
