True Confessions: I have been around for a lot of Proms. Here is my most interesting story. Once upon a time there was Prom in Grantsburg. Some of the leaders in the class were girls and they gave me all the ballots to count. My job was to announce the king and queen. So we finished the meal, I stood up and announced the king and Queen.....and immediately following the presentation is when it hit the fan. The girls came running up to me and proclaimed that I had given out the name of the wrong person for KING..... and in Paul Harvey's words....now the rest of the story. They had told me it was my job to count the ballots...but they had actually split them up, counted them, and then pretended they did NOT know. BUT....one of the girls forgot to put her ballots back into the box when it was MY turn to count.... so... We had a new King..... and we NEVER changed it..... and there will be a few people reading this that will know the exact year.....oops.

Thanks for the nice write up on your web page after the game last Friday. Our girls really enjoyed reading it and seeing the pictures you had posted. Like I said before the game, it is always a treat to see how your team handles themselves and the attitude they take to the field. Good luck the rest of the season, and hopefully we have each other on the schedule again next year.

twis: so when the infield gathers at the end of each inning....the saying is "guns" That is where the picture comes from. We also say things like WA or where is the visiting dugout? Guns refers to the ability to throw well.... take pride in your guns! So Mac got drilled by Annie.....and Otto got nailed.....we don't think it was from the weekend. Our infield was like blacktop after the rain. Don has a new toy....there is big hole in the middle! The little yellow things are hard to catch and throw. Here is a special note for Finchy. I can actually read this...i can hit the ball. i can see the ball....and now that I can see, my boy friend is NOT that good looking. Nicole is working on a high follow through. Michelle is going to wear thick socks so she can reach the top of Don's new toy. Hey Satin, did you see your pic? Mac said her Grandma keeps her in line during church. If she texted me, Sandra would take my phone away. The New DeMarini has a hard time keeping the ball on our side of the fence. The JV stayed home and practiced tonight...game Thursday with Friday off. I left Wed morning at 4:30 ...won't be back for awhile... Joe Tilton OWNS the Unity team. Joe is from Grantsburg.... ask Joe about athletics...he has ideas. Does anybody remember Buddy and his umbrella when the bugs attacked at Unity?? It was funny. Last time Tiff was gone, WE LOST... Maybe she is on another slow pitch recruiting trip!! Otto charged Steve....sore manubrium.... Nic hit the ball....But I have to go....
