Ali wins in 10 rounds....
...So why do you park in your driveway and then drive in a parkway? Why do 7-11 stores have locks on their doors? Why do you buy metric rulers by the dozen? Why do Bank drive-throughs have Braille? Why do we get 12 hits and 13 walks and lose? Why did I forget to take any pictures? The answer is....I don't know. And I think it might hurt my little brain too much to try to explain it. All I know is that it was quite a game. A game like that doesn't come around too often. I think I ran out of ink twice as I was keeping score. And mixed in with the blunders, there was some entertaining softball. And that is the very reason that makes fastpitch soo entertaining.
This website doesn't have enough memory for me to write every detail but I will give you a quick summary of each inning.

The game summaries look more like season totals. Grantsburg had 16 runs on 12 hits and 13 walks.. St. Croix had 2 errors. St. Croix had 19 runs on 16 hits and 9 Grantsburg errors. The anticipated pitching dual turned into a Frazier-Ali slug. Nell, Susan, Elise, and Jamie continued to lead the team as they picked up 11 hits by themselves. There were some real shots hit during the game. Grantsburg maintains the conference lead and must beat Webster and Unity in order to win the conference by themselves.
TWIS: The alumni game cannot be at 4:00 on May 23...A new date will be set soon.. I hope many players can make it. St. Croix also put on quite a show last night and should be congratulated. We always have fun games with them and last night was no exception. I also found the fans over by me to be very friendly. Katie K now has her own Barbie helmet. Whit lost her glove. Did anybody ride the bus last night? Last night Elise recorded her 100th strike out of the year. Did you see Katie W run into the mesh fence? Were we wearing our gloves on the wrong hands for part of the game? The home tournament is Saturday. We play Osceola at 10:00 and then our second game will be at noon. MaY is going by fast. So I enjoy it when I can. We anticipated a cold night but it was really warm... another vote for spring ball. We have run the hotbox perfectly each time this year. Megan made a great stop at first. Finally, somebody bunted the ball fair against us. Nell almost killed the pitcher again. So here is our chance, crew..... Practice Harder or point fingers.....We are 11-1. So why do you use that other guy's email? Thanks to all the fans that came to the game. The brownies are still the best. And as far as your curious comment.... Are you really sure you want me to explain?.... I will tell you what is important to me.gggg And..... I really did forget to take the pictures.... I think focus was gone, too. But, we will maybe have a chance to play St. Croix Falls one more time during the WIAA tournament....
TAIY!!
